Sir Gawain, the Maiden’s Knight

Gawain is a formidable but courteous and compassionate warrior, loyal to his king and his family. Known as a friend to young knights, a defender of the poor and the unfortunate, and as a saviour especially to young women - thus, he has earned the title "Maidens' Knight". As well as being an outstanding swordsman and a skilled healer, it is said that when the sun is highest in the sky, it invigorates him with superhuman ability.
